THE IDENTITY THEFT THAT I’M GOING THROUGH IS A DIFFERENT KIND OF ID THEFT. EXHUSBAND USES MY IDENTITY TO OPEN ACCOUNTS, BUY PROPERTY GO ON TRIPS ETC.GET A COMCAST ACCT ETC. I NEVER RECEIVE A BILL WHAT HE HAS DONE IS ACTUALLY TAKEN MY IDENTITY AND HAS GIVEN ME HIS. AT ONE POINT I WAS GETTING “TWO’ OF EVERYTHING. TWO SAME NEWSPAPERS, TWO BILL STATEMENTS FOR A SMALL LOAN I APPLIED FOR IN 2002. JUST RECENTLY I APPLIED FOR A CREDIT CARD. I RECEIVED TWO. MY CREDIT SCORES ARE HIS AND HIE LOUSY SCORES ARE MINE THIS KIND OF ID THEFT. IS HARD TO STOP WHY? BECAUSE HE IS ME AND IAM MY FRAUD ALERTS ARE ACTUALLY HIS FRAUD ALERTS IF I REPORT ID .THEFT IT’S ACTUALLY HIM REPORTING IT THEY CAN’T DO NOTHING BECAUSE THE CREDIT BUREAUS DON’T KNOW WHO’S REPORTING THE FRAUD ME OR HIM..

You must contact the credit reporting agency, identify the creditors, and then argue with each of them individually. The big question is were you legallly of age to sign the contracts, did you understand the contracts, etc. If he used your identity without your signature and express permission, he committed several acts of fraud and Identity theft. He could go to jail if you chose to prosecute. You could also sue, but if criminal acts were committed, then see your local District Attorneys office, fraud specialist.

Most people get a whole lot more co-operative when they hear that jail cell door slamming behind them,

You’re liable on the lease amount, since you signed it… If you didn’t sign on the utilities, write each of them and dispute it…

If you were not coerced into signing you are responsible. Sorry! That’s the same that happens to people when a lender screws them… they sign one thing.. not knowing what it really entails, but at the end of the day.. if you sign it, you should read and understand first.

You can only dispute the utilities that he put in your name and I would take him to small claims court. i would also seek legal counsel to see if you were of age to sign for this lease. Most of all I would pull up my credit report to see what other things that are on it. if you need any help go to
